The transfer arrives matched. Because the order number is inside the QR, S$78 lands in your bank labelled as order 0142 rather than as an anonymous sum you have to reconcile against a screenshot.

Only one person gets the last one. Stock is decided where the order is written, so the second customer is told it has gone rather than both being confirmed and one disappointed on Saturday.4

And Saturday’s takings are in Monday’s accounts. A fulfilled order posts as revenue in the right month, with GST split out if you are registered.3

How we compare

Online Shop vs Take App

Take App is a Singapore product, it is good at what it does, and it takes PayNow just as we do. So the comparison is not about the shopfront and it is not about payment. It is about what happens after the order.

Features

Everything in it.

Your shop

  • Your own link for a bio, a printable QR for the stall, and a short one, app.kevinchia.sg/s/yourname, that also leads to your booking page if you take bookings
  • Your colour and your photographs, as a grid or a list depending on what you sell
  • A landing page with your story, your FAQ, your socials and your reviews

Products

  • Up to five photographs each, swipeable, in the order you choose
  • Options with prices: size, flavour, add-ons, and required ones nobody can skip
  • Stock per combination, so red in medium can sell out while red in large keeps going4
  • Categories with a tab bar, for a menu rather than a grid

Collection and delivery

  • Slots you set per day, with dates blocked out when you are away5
  • A lead time so nobody orders tomorrow’s bake tonight, per product if you need it
  • Delivery priced by distance from your postal code to theirs, or one price per option7
  • A collection address shown to anyone picking up

Getting paid

  • A PayNow QR with the amount and order number in it2
  • Your UEN stays yours: the code works without the page showing your number
  • Payments that confirm themselves when your PayNow goes into an Aspire business account8
  • Tips at checkout, if you switch them on, every button showing what it adds
  • Cash at the counter too, recorded properly rather than remembered

Running the day

  • A live queue, oldest first, with every option underneath each order
  • A display board for a tablet so customers watch their own number come up
  • A counter till for walk-ups, with the same products and the same options
  • Telegram in your pocket when an order arrives, with a button to confirm the payment

Two shapes of shop

  • Pre-order for a home kitchen: slots, delivery, lead times, blocked dates
  • Stall for a market or a pop-up: a walk-up menu with the scheduling stripped out
  • Run both at once, one link for the week and one printed for the weekend

After the sale

  • A sales page: what sold best, your busiest days and hours, walk-up against pre-order
  • Sales post into your P&L on their own, and you can switch that off3
  • Reviews you approve, shown as stars on the product
  • A real receipt page the customer can print, with a QR back to their live order
  • Export orders and products to CSV, every variant on its own row

Your customers

  • A live order page they can follow, updating the moment you tap
  • Filed into your address book as a real contact, not a name in a thread
  • Their details encrypted at rest: phone, address and email

This is not the end
of this module.

Ask for something and it gets built. Every account has a Feedback button that raises a real ticket, read by the person who writes the code. If it would help more than one Singapore business it goes into the module and lands in every account, usually by the next working day.

Need it to work with a tool you already use? Ask the same way. We check that it can be done and tell you straight. You subscribe, by card or PayNow, we build the connection, and you try it on your own account. If we cannot make it work, you get your money back.

Before you sign up, hello@kevinchiahd.com reaches the same place.

From a customer

“An entry point for a small start-up, without being overwhelming.”

“Looking for an easy way to manage my small business, I came across app.kevinchia.sg. This solution has an entry point for a small start-up, not overwhelming, while having more sophisticated features for future scaled-up operations. Had a chance to speak to the founder Kevin and was greatly encouraged that he listens to his clients, big or small, and is always open to see how he can improve the client experience. app.kevinchia.sg not only provides a solution, but provides the relationship management as if you are a big corporate. Very glad to chance upon this software.”

It does not stop at the shop

The rest of your back office is on the same system.

A fulfilled order does not just sit in a list. It posts itself into your P&L as revenue in the right month, with GST split out if you are registered, so the shop and the accounting are the same set of numbers rather than two things you reconcile on a Sunday night.

Order paid Fulfilled Revenue in the P&L GST worked out Tax computed

That is what a large company pays six figures for and calls an ERP. Pro 365 is every module for S$365 a year, plus every module we build after you subscribe.

Questions

Frequently asked.

How much does it cost?

Online Shop is part of Pro 365, which is every app.kevinchia.sg module for S$49 a month, or S$365 a year paid yearly. Products and orders are unlimited, with every feature switched on and nothing taken off each sale. If you already pay for Online Shop on its own, you keep your plan and your price.

How do customers pay?

By PayNow. The QR carries the amount and the order's own reference already, so the transfer arrives in your bank matched to the order rather than as an anonymous S$78. The customer taps to say they have paid and you confirm once you see it. If your PayNow goes into an Aspire business account, connect it once and paid orders confirm themselves, usually within a minute or two. The money goes straight from their bank to yours, which is why nothing is taken out of it, and the QR works without your page ever showing your UEN or mobile number.

I only sell at weekend markets. Is this still for me?

Yes, and that is stall mode. Print the QR, put it on the table, and people order from their own phone while they queue. There are no collection slots and no delivery, just a menu, a cart and a PayNow QR, plus a queue screen you can put on a tablet so they watch their number come up. You can run a pre-order link alongside it for the rest of the week.

Can I stop people ordering for tomorrow?

Yes. Set a lead time in days and a cut-off hour, and anything after that counts as the next day. You can set it per product too, so a plain loaf can be next-day while a decorated cake needs a week. Dates you are away are blocked out and simply never appear as slots.

What happens when two people order the last one?

Only one of them gets it. Stock is decided where the order is written rather than in the browser, so the second customer is told it has gone instead of both being confirmed and one being disappointed later. The same applies down to the individual combination: the last red medium can sell out while red large keeps going.

Do the sales end up in my accounts?

Yes, on their own, and you can switch it off. An order posts as revenue in your P&L once its payment is confirmed, in the right month, with GST split out if you are registered. That is the whole point of it being one system rather than a separate shop app you reconcile against afterwards.

How does delivery work?

Delivery is your own fee and your own driver, which for most home businesses is you or somebody you already know. Add as many options as you offer, each with one price, or priced by distance: a starting price for the first few km, a rate for each km after, and the furthest you will go. The customer types their postal code and sees the fee before they pay. Their address is taken at checkout and kept encrypted, and it appears on the order and on the receipt.

Can customers add a tip?

Yes, if you switch it on. The checkout shows No tip, your own percentages with the amount each one adds, and Other for a typed amount. A tip is worked out on the goods after any discount, never on delivery, it goes into the PayNow amount, and it reaches your P&L on its own line with no GST on it.

Can I see what is selling?

Yes. The Sales page shows your sales, orders and average order against the period before, what sold best, which days and hours are busiest, walk-up against collection and delivery, PayNow against cash, and how many customers came back. Export any of it to a spreadsheet.

What do my customers see after they order?

A live order page of their own, at a link only they hold, that updates the moment you tap. It shows where their order has got to, the collection slot or the delivery address, and a printable receipt with your shop name, the itemised order and a QR back to the page. Nobody has to ask you whether it is ready.

Put five products up, share one link, and let Saturday sort itself out. Email us and we set you up ourselves.

  1. Online Shop is part of Pro 365: S$49 a month, cancel any time, or S$365 a year paid yearly, which works out about S$30 a month. Pro 365 includes every app.kevinchia.sg module, lifts every limit, and includes every module we build later. Orders and products are unlimited. One shop per account. Businesses already paying for Online Shop on its own keep their plan and price.
  2. Payment is by PayNow. Online Shop generates a QR carrying the amount and a reference made for that order, the customer transfers directly to your own bank, and you confirm the order once you have seen the money arrive, or it confirms itself if your account is connected (see note 8). Nothing is deducted from what you are paid because no payment processor sits in the middle. Cash taken at the counter is recorded the same way. Figures shown in the screens on this page are illustrative.
  3. Posting sales into your P&L is a switch, on by default and yours to turn off. An order posts as revenue once you have confirmed its payment, dated the day it was placed, with GST split at 9% and the tax code stamped only if you have recorded a GST registration date on your account.
  4. Stock is decremented where the order is written, under a lock, so two customers cannot both be sold the last unit. Where a product has options you track stock against, each combination has its own count.
  5. Collection slots, delivery, lead times and blocked dates apply to the pre-order shop. Stall mode is the same catalogue with the scheduling removed, for a market or a counter. Delivery is your own fee and your own driver.
  6. Competitor prices are not stated on this site because they are not ours to keep current. The link goes to their own published pricing page. Comparison correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of writing; if a row here is wrong, tell us at hello@kevinchiahd.com and it will be corrected.
  7. Distance is measured in a straight line between your postal code and your customer's, using OneMap, so it is usually a little shorter than the drive. Every km started past what the starting price covers is charged in full. A postal code that cannot be found is never priced; the customer is asked to check it.
  8. Automatic confirmation needs an Aspire business account and an API key with read access to transactions, which you create in Aspire and paste in once. A payment is matched on its reference and its exact amount. app.kevinchia.sg only reads the account and cannot move money. Orders that are not matched are confirmed by you as before.
